These pages contain some useful information, which I had trouble finding on the Internet while I was searching for them. The first is how to modify the Nikon TC-16A teleconverter. Compared to the other teleconverters which have a decent optical quality, this TC is a lot cheaper, mainly because it supposedly doesn't work with any modern autofocus camera except the F5, D2H(s) and the D2X(s). As suspected, there is a way to make it work (partially) - find out how and why here.

When I moved to Tenerife, I had to get an internet connection to be able to continue my work. I decided on a mobile UMTS (3G) connection from Movistar, in combination with the Huawei E220 Modem. This is a very fine modem, but with extremely limited support for Mac OS X. I had a hard time finding anything on the Internet, so I compiled my findings and published them here, along with a small piece of software I wrote specifically for the Huawei E220 modem used on Mac OS X, to be able to monitor signal strength, connection type, throughput, other statistics, and get more useful information about the E220.
