Back button autofocus not supported [solved - not possible]

So my camera is typically set for BBF. I cannot autofocus.

I see "Focus mode is read only. Restricted by hardware dial of switch or another setting" when I press the AF in the app.

Nikon D850, current iOS app, iPhone 7 plus iOS 12.0.1

Also auto iso is not settable but this was previously reported,

BTW the geotagging feature is great. Worth the price alone. I know it took a long time but thank you.

Hi,

I've looked into the problem, and unfortunately, this is a Nikon issue that we cannot work around easily.
The same thing will happen with any wired or wireless remote, as the only pins for autofocusing on the 10-pin port of Nikon cameras is the one corresponding to half-press. So the Unleashed can only half-press to autofocus, and therefore will not autofocus if you turn that off in the camera menu.

With the USB cable plugged in, we could (maybe, in the future) change that setting every time before half-pressing, and back before finishing the photo, but then how should the Unleashed know if you didn't change that setting so that the camera would explicitly NOT autofocus unless you press the AFON button on the camera, and would therefore Autofocus against your will?

The Focus Mode refers only to the options MF/AF or when the USB cable is plugged in to MF/AF-S/AF-C/AF-A, which refers to the MF/AF hardware switch on the camera body or lens.

I didn't;t think you could override those setting with Unleashed. Thanks for checking.
