Error 70 on Canon EOS 60D [edit: + 550D] [solved]

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

Hi Arvi89,

We haven't released any updates yet, that's why you can't find the option. When we release an update, it will be in the Unleashed menu: you go to your Unleasheds, tap on the Unleashed you want to update and you will find the update there. But as I said, there's nothing there yet.
Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. So, if the Bluetooth isn't working on the C2 I take it that any update can be done by USB then?

No, firmware update via USB is not supported. Do you have Bluetooth problems?

I should say so, the app doesn't see the C2 at all. When plugging in the C2 the orange light illuminates briefly then the error message is displayed. Hence no BT connection

What camera do you have? I suggest you add a signature to your profile where you state your camera model, phone model, app and firmware versions. This makes it easier for us to give support :)

As soon as my PC reboots I'll add a sig.

Until then I have a 60D with the latest firmware I think I vaguely recall flashing it anyway.

If there's anything I can do to try to get to the bottom of this I'd be eager to help.

We have already fixed the error 70 issue on the 550D, we hope this fix holds for the 60D as well. I just tried to plug in an Unleashed with old firmware in the 550D so that the Error 70 happens, and the Unleashed still has power even after the error is thrown. I don't know if this is different on the 60D.

It's good you've fixed the error on the 550D but I seem to recall someone else in this thread has a similar issue to me with a 60D. Agsin, when my PC finally boots I'll check back through this thread. It's a pain in my phone.

I'm confused by your message, is there an update we can try for the 60D? Because I still haven't got any update option in the app.

Not yet, sorry for the confusion. It will probably come in an update next week. There's still some testing to be done on the app side of the firmware updates.

I also have a Canon EOS 60D with firmware ver 1.1.2 experiencing the same Error 70 code which appears as soon as the camera is turned on, following the sensor cleaning message.
