C2 not working on Canon 5D Mark II [solved]

I have the same problem with my Canon 5D mkii, no functionality at all. Used it on an iphone 8plus, with ios12, canon firmware 2.1.2. I send you an e-mail with a video about the problems but I guess you didn’t mind about it. Was really looking forward to use it with my camera, it is pretty useless now.

I also used it with a Canon 100D. I can control the camera and shoot pictures. However focus and lighti g in the preview is also completly different than the real image. So also degarding this camera it is quite a useless device.

I got errors with my 600D as well. I can snap a picture from the app but that's basically all. No mode changes are allowed as it tells me that the camera is shooting or that the shutter speed is not available.

Issue with C2 on Canon 5DMKII (FW 2.12), iphone X Max...

all options grey'd out but the unleashed is connected to the app and reports camera model number... but nothing else works...

tested the unleashed on a 7D and the unleashed works there... so its in the software side of the unleashed/app..

Same issue on my 5dmk2, fw2.0.9, when the UNTEATHERED is connected the camera has a data delay in controlling the menus (like there is a clocking issue in the data on the USB bus... I've seen something similar when tethered once... I don't remember the exact cause but used a new cable and laptop and was back to shooting). Camera tethers with Capture 1 and shots come in to the laptop just fine. The UNTETHERED works fantastic with my 5dMK3.....

Hi,
yes, as far as we know, we have fixed the issue, but need to verify it on a few more cameras. We working on a way to get Beta firmware to a few customers, so that we can test camera-specific issues like this quickly and effectively in the future as well.

I have tried the C2 on multiple 5D MkII's with up-to-date firmware and with both iOs and Android phones. The C2 will pair with the device but after that there is no communication whatsoever.
I have tested the same C2 succesfully with a 5D MkIII (3) and a Eos 100d so the problem seems to be the Mk2 modelrange.
