C2 [T6i] - 0xFF / USB Not Active / Photo Trigger Not Available [solved]

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

Hi there!

Just got my Unleashed C2 and tried it out on my Canon T6i, using the app on a Pixel 2 XL running Android 9.0.0. Setup was quick and the app recognized the Unleashed, however upon entering the app after initial setup, I get a weird error where instead of the name of my camera, it shows "C2 - 0xFF" in the upper left hand corner. Also, it keeps telling me that "Photo trigger is not available" and "USB is not active". However, I am seeing that I have a turquoise light on both the adapter and the phone. None of the options work and I tried resetting/forgetting the adapter several times. I also tested on an iPad Pro on iOS 11 and that didn't work as well, having the same issues.

Does anyone know if this is a general issue with all of the C2 or if its just a select few?

Hi, thanks for the report.

Can you check if Wifi is on on your camera? if so, you need to turn it off - on Canon cameras, turning on Wifi disables USB.
We did have this info in a different error message, we need to check if the error message you're seeing isn't wrongly set, and you should be getting the one including the Wifi Hint.

Huh strange that I didn't get a notification that you responded. Sorry for the lateness in responding.

I'll give that a try and let you know. Thanks for the tip!
