Questions about the "Function X is read-only. Restricted by hardware dial or switch or another setting."

Is it correct to infer that any function that is controlled by a hardware switch as opposed to a dial on a Nikon camera is not available for Unleashed?

In the same vein, the '... or another setting" end of this message is just slightly less than optimal. It would be nice to know which setting or combination thereof is the reason for the message.

It's correct that Settings with a hardware switch are read-only on the App, not not available. ie you'll see the current value in the app, and will see changes when you change the setting on the camera, but you can't change it from the app.
The most common example is MF/AF - this is always a hardware switch on either the lens or the camera body, near the lens mount. the app can't physically move the switch, so the setting is read-only.
Same applies to Mode (M A S P) on lower-end Nikons and many Canons, or Drive Mode (S, CH, CL, MUP, etc) on higher-end Nikons.

We don't get more detailled information, but have considered adding whatever info we can deduce from other settings to the errormessage. A few things are easy: if Mode is A or Av, shutter speed becomes read-only since it's a calculated value, so we could change
Function X is read-only. Restricted by hardware dial or switch or another setting. to
Function X is read-only. Restricted by Mode A. Change to Mode M or S to change this setting.

But this will take a lot of work that I'm not sure is worth it. The cameras also don't ever tell you why you can't change the shutter speed when you're in A/Av Mode, do they?
