Can't focus using unleashed

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

I recently noticed that my photos look much better when they're in focus. So I thought maybe I can even get sharp images via the unleashed, but unfortunatelt, I can't seem to figure out how I can tell the unleashed (sitting on a D750) to focus before triggering. It seems to be impossible.

I am starting to suspect that this is related to my menu settings: I am using back-button focus and have turned off focusing via the release button. Is it possible that the unleashed can't handle this? And there is no way for it to manually focus without pressing the trigger?

Hi
yeah, unfortunately this is not possible. It's a limitation that Nikon has for all remote triggers. We can only half-press and fullpress the shutterbutton.
have a look at this thread for more info:

Hm, I read the thread you pointed to, but I wonder: are you saying that you don't have access to the "AE-L AF-L" button via USB? If you do, you could let people focus via that if they want.
