App is not detecting N1 [solved: hardware defect]

We tested as good as we can. But there will always be things we didn't find. If you found things that apparently don't work as they should, you can report them here so we can take care of them as soon as possible.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for feedback.
I will be waiting for the beta release then.

As for the dongle, yes it was working fine for many months. And suddenly it just ran into that issue. I actually have a series of pictures taken during one day. Since the pictures were taken with I a high frequency I can see when exactly the dongle stopped geotagging the picture (and it was only a difference of few seconds between the pictures properly geotagged and the pictures with no GPS location given).
Happy New Year,
Marcin

Hello,
Just to refresh the topic.

I saw that there is a new beta update available. I tried to sign in to beta update and hopefully get my issue solved, but although following all the instructions on how to sign in, I still can't see any possibility to update the software.
Please follow up on this.
Best regards,
Marcin

Hi Marcin,
I got your mail that the update didn't help. I will check with @Andy tomorrow to see if he has any other idea what the root cause of your issue could be.

Hi marcin,

In the latest beta bootloader we implemented a mechanism to erase the flash, so let's try that and hope for the best. You will need the same Lightblue app you used before.

- Plug in your Unleashed and turn your camera on.
- Open the Lightblue app and locate "Unleashed Boot"
- Tap on the list item circled on the screenshot below (the one that says write notify)
- Tap on listen to notifications
- Tap on write new value
- Write 22 and tap on done
- Your Unleashed should reboot and hopefully work normally again

If it doesn't work, get in touch with Oliver again to arrange a replacement.

Hello Andy,
I followed the instructions. Just after typing 22 the blue light on the dongle goes down, a few seconds later the dongle flashes red, and nothing is changed. The unleashed is still presenting itself as "Unleashed boot". I repeated the process twice, just to be sure, but no different outcome.
Best regards,
Marcin
