Make sure you have the correct Entagged model, USB or HDMI cable and magnetic plug (if applicable) for your camera. You can check the compatibility list here<\/a>. On some cameras you might have to change a USB setting in your camera\u2019s menu to prepare it for the Entagged.<\/p>\r\n

Entagged M<\/h4>\r\n

For Canon, Nikon, Sony or Fujfilm cameras<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1.<\/strong> Snap the magnetic USB plug onto the back of the Entagged.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

2.<\/strong> Looking at the front of the Entagged, with the logo toward you and the socket at the top, plug the HDMI cable into the Entagged so that the cable points toward the right<\/strong>. This is critical for the Entagged to function properly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

3.<\/strong> Plug the Entagged into your camera\u2019s USB port and the HDMI cable into the HDMI port. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

Should the HDMI plug be too close above the Entagged, you can rotate the Entagged (on the magnetic plug) by 90\u00ba or 180\u00ba to make space. The magnetic connection protects both the plug and the camera port, even when you knock it during transport or use. Don\u2019t worry, the Entagged will always remain attached via the HDMI cable, so you won\u2019t lose it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Note: If your camera has a Micro-USB 3.0 Socket, don\u2019t worry – the Micro-USB 2.0 magnetic plug fits into the wider half of the Micro-USB 3.0 socket, as it is designed to be backwards-compatible and will work perfectly.\r\n
If you like, you can loop the HDMI cable behind the Entagged for a neater look.<\/p>\r\n

Entagged N1<\/h4>\r\n

For Nikon cameras with a round 10-pin accessory terminal<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

1.<\/strong> Looking at the front of the Entagged, with the logo toward you and the socket at the top, plug the USB cable into the Entagged so that the cable points toward the right<\/strong>. This is critical for the Entagged to function properly.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

2.<\/strong> Plug the Entagged into the round remote socket on the front of your camera. Don\u2019t worry if it\u2019s a little hard to plug in. The Entagged is designed to stay on the camera all the time so we made it a tight fit. Wiggling it a little can help while plugging it in.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

3.<\/strong> Plug the other end of the cable into the USB port of your camera. If it has a Micro-USB 3.0 Socket, don\u2019t worry – the Micro-USB 2.0 plug fits into the wider (bottom) half of the Micro-USB 3.0 socket.<\/p>\r\n

Entagged N2<\/h4>\r\n

For Nikon cameras with a rectangular 10-pin accessory terminal<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

2.<\/strong> Plug the Entagged into the rectangular remote socket on the side of the camera. The Entagged is designed to stay on the camera all the time so we made it a tight fit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

3.<\/strong> Plug the other end of the cable into the camera.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Turn on your camera to power the Entagged. You don\u2019t need to charge the Entagged as it\u2019s powered by a tiny amount of power from your camera battery.
