Yes, it is very likely that it will work with your L-bracket. Most L-Brackets have a cut-out area around the connectors, so you still have access to the sockets. You don’t have to have the app open, meaning actively in the foreground to be able to use geotagging. Once you activated geotagging the app can be in the background and the phone even in your pocket.
