You don’t have to have the app open, meaning actively in the foreground, to be able to use geotagging. Once you’ve activated geotagging, the app only needs to run in the background – feel free to put away your phone if you don’t need it for anything else. Only if you completely close (force-quit) the app you won’t be able to use geotagging anymore. If you are using an external Bluetooth device, you won’t even need the app (once it is paired with the Unleashed).
