To change the Barcode Edition D200+ to D300s Mode:

  • Turn on your scanner by using special barcode card #1 or by pressing the small button for 5 seconds
  • Turn on your camera
  • Plug in the D200+ Barcode Edition into the camera.
  • Once the scanner beeps to signify it’s connected (Bluetooth Module on camera will blink green)
  • Scan this code to reset to D300s mode

  • On the Fuji S5 goto SETUP menu [1]-> SHOOTING->BARCODE READER/GPS and change to “BCR CONTINUOUS” and use the back arrow to confirm
  • Scan this Test barcode
    1234
  • You should now see a “BCD” icon on the top LCD (next to the number of shots left)
  • Take a photo, and press play to display it on the screen, then use the up/down arrows to cycle through the Metadata overlays until you see the COMMENT field, which should now show “1234”.

To change it back to GPS mode:

  • Turn on your scanner by using special barcode card #1 or by pressing the small button for 5 seconds
  • Turn on your camera
  • On the Fuji S5 goto SETUP menu [1]-> SHOOTING->BARCODE READER/GPS and change to “GPS” and use the back arrow to confirm (if you try to do this later, you might get an ERROR message on the back screen)
  • Plug in the D200+ Barcode Edition into the camera.
  • Once the scanner beeps to signify it’s connected (Bluetooth Module on camera will blink green)
  • Scan this code to reset to GPS mode
    258,S
  • Scan this code to reset to Numeric Encoding
    512,S
  • Scan this Test barcode
    1234
  • You should now see a “GPS” icon on the top LCD (next to the battery indicator)
  • Take a photo, and press play to display it on the screen, then use the up/down arrows to cycle through the Metadata overlays until you see the GPS fields, where the Altitude field should now show “1234”.
